Effective August 20, 2026
City Works starts the search for an appropriate independent local service provider. These terms explain what City Works provides and what the service provider controls.
City Works receives your request, starts the provider search, keeps you informed, and makes an introduction when appropriate local help is available. City Works does not perform the trade work.
The service provider decides whether to accept the request. They set the quote, price, schedule, scope, job terms, permits, safety practices, and warranty, and they are responsible for the work.
Provider availability varies. City Works cannot guarantee that a provider will accept a request or promise a price, date, permit, insurance coverage, workmanship, or result.
Please provide accurate contact, property, timing, access, and job information. Do not submit unlawful content, unsafe instructions, or information you do not have permission to share.
The exact City Works access fee, plan length, included requests, currency, and applicable tax are shown before payment. The City Works fee is separate from every service provider quote, invoice, or bill.
Connect includes one request at one location. Home 10 includes up to 10 requests for one named home during one year. Property Unlimited is $499 CAD per year plus applicable tax and includes unlimited provider-search requests across multiple properties for one account holder authorized to arrange service for those properties. It does not provide separate accounts for unrelated people or authorize resale. City Works finds and assigns a suitable, qualified and available independent provider and informs you of the assignment. You can request a different provider. Availability is not guaranteed.
A Home 10 customer may add one named home or business for $75 per annual term. The added location adds ten service requests to the plan's yearly total and shares the plan's renewal date. Property Unlimited has no added-location fee. Existing Estate 25 subscriptions and accepted added-location agreements retain their accepted terms; this new offer does not automatically migrate or reprice them.
Unlimited applies to provider-search requests, not contractor work, project supervision, property-management services, emergency response, guaranteed results or insurance. Independent providers agree their work, price, schedule and payment directly with customers. Existing qualification and safety requirements continue to apply.
An annual plan begins when payment is confirmed and lasts for the period shown at checkout. Card or bank plans renew once each year only when checkout clearly says so and you separately agree. Interac e-Transfer plans do not renew automatically.
If you agree to automatic renewal, you authorize City Works to charge your saved payment method once each year on the renewal date, plus applicable tax, at the price stated in your renewal notice. We will email you 30 to 60 days before renewal with the date, price, and simple cancellation steps.
You may cancel before renewal at no cost by emailing contact@cityworksforyou.com. You may also cancel after renewal. Any refund will be provided as required by applicable law.
You may review these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy before choosing payment. You may go back and correct your request before accepting the purchase.
Refund requests are reviewed under our Refund Policy and applicable law. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be limited.
A service provider does not pay to review an opportunity or respond with interest and availability. City Works assigns a suitable, qualified and available independent provider; City Works releases only the necessary private details after the account, billing-consent, qualification and one-provider connection checks pass. There is no per-connection checkout. The provider agrees its own work and price directly with the customer.
For new connections, the final customer-authorized work value before tax sets the City Works fee: under $300 is $0; $300 to $599.99 is $39; $600 to $999.99 is $69; $1,000 to $1,999.99 is $119; $2,000 to $4,999.99 is $249; and $5,000 or more is $499. Applicable tax may be added. The customer's early estimate does not set the fee. Existing connections retain the fee policy accepted on their award date; finalized historical statements are not repriced.
A provider's first two completed City Works connections have no City Works fee. The free connections apply automatically while the provider remains qualified and in good standing. Later eligible connections follow the applicable fee schedule; new connections under $300 remain free. The first-two count is based on completed connections, not only chargeable connections.
Provider 365 is not available as part of the current monthly billing model. Existing accepted agreements retain their terms unless a separate change is agreed; prior payments do not become a new transferable credit.
The provider reports completion with an invoice reference and final-value evidence. The customer confirms the authorized amount or receives five calendar days to dispute it. Disputed and unfinished work stays out of automatic billing. City Works sends the previous month's billing-ready items on a preliminary statement on the 7th, accepts corrections through the 12th, and charges the consented payment method on the 15th. Valid corrections after finalization are handled once on a later statement. There is no provisional quote-based charge.
No fee is created without customer-authorized paid work. Non-response with no authorized work does not create a fee. Authorized diagnostic, inspection or partial work is assessed only on its own authorized value. Disputes, abandonment and unclear responsibility require review before billing. A replacement provider is a separate connection.
City Works is not an emergency service. For immediate danger to life, health, or property, call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority.
Email contact@cityworksforyou.com about your request, payment, privacy, or a complaint. Include your City Works order code when available.
