We use it to know what you need and to look for local help.
Sharing
We use your facts for your job. Potential providers receive limited job information and a nearby cross street, not your full address or phone number. We share the full job address and necessary contact details with the selected provider only after they accept the job and the required checks pass. We do not sell your phone or email.
Records
We keep job facts when we need them for the work, law, safety, or a claim. If you save your work, we may keep what you typed. We may call or write to help you finish. This does not let us share it with a provider. You may ask us to fix or delete your data when the law lets us.
Website measurement
This notice model is limited to visits our hosting provider identifies as Canadian. Default tracking stays off for other or unknown locations.
Public-page ad measurement uses a visible notice and opt-out, not an Accept button. After 30 seconds of visible notice, Meta may receive public page views, clicks, browser IDs and device data. Turn it off in the notice or below. Earlier refusals and browser privacy signals stay respected. This does not authorize contact details, job details or payment-linked measurement. Those separate permissions are described below. Our notice choice expires after 30 days; this does not control Meta's own retention.
With fresh permission, Google Analytics counts saved plumbing requests using basic browser data and cookies. We do not send contact details, addresses, job notes or request references. No thanks keeps Google tracking off. Withdraw below to stop future tracking.
We use tools to keep the site working. You may also let us use Meta tools. They show us which ads help. If you choose “Allow,” Meta may get site, request, checkout, and order events. Meta may also get one-way coded versions of your email, phone, name, general area, and City Works record number. We do not send Meta your job notes, files, full address, or card details. You can choose “Necessary only.”
For ordinary request-to-payment measurement, City Works links the ad that brought you here to your request and payment if you allow it. This request's ad link expires after 30 days. We then clear its ad details during scheduled cleanup. A limited tracking record becomes due for removal after 90 days. Cleanup is scheduled hourly and processes up to 50 records each time. A backlog or failed cleanup can delay removal; it does not extend permission to track this request. A tracking receipt on your device also expires after 30 days. The site tries to remove it when it next checks storage. It cannot remove it while your browser is closed or if storage cannot be updated. You can still send a request and pay with Necessary only. Once we confirm your changed choice, future tracking stops; an event already started may still reach Meta. These periods apply to City Works' tracking records, not to records already held by Meta.
Monthly access has a separate optional choice. If you allow it, we use coded email and customer IDs, consented ad-browser IDs, and your first successful monthly payment's amount, currency and time to measure which ads lead to paying members. We send this to Meta. We do not send your name, phone number, address, job details or card details. This permission ends 60 days after signup, or sooner if you withdraw. The coded identity and ad details become due for deletion at 60 days; delivery records at 90 days. Existing hourly cleanup removes them; a backlog or failed cleanup may delay removal but never extends permission. Later renewals are not counted as new ad purchases. Your older 30-day permission does not cover this separate choice. Use the button below to stop future measurement; an event already being sent cannot be recalled. This does not cancel your City Works subscription.

City Works checks your request and finds local help. We link you to a provider. We do not do, watch, check, or promise the work.
Service Provider terms
The service provider is not part of City Works. They set the price, date, job plan, terms, and safe work rules.
New requests and existing agreements
New customer requests are free. No card or subscription is required. You pay the independent provider for their work.
Existing accepted customer fee agreements only
The following historic plan terms remain for existing agreements. They are not offers for new requests.
Connect is $19.99 for one request at one location. Home Annual is $99.99 a year for unlimited requests at one named home; new purchases can add one named location for $75.99 a year. Property Unlimited is $499.99 a year for unlimited provider-search requests across multiple properties for one authorized account holder, with no added-location fee. Applicable tax is itemized at checkout. The City Works fee is separate from the service provider bill. Existing Estate 25 subscriptions and accepted $75 added-location agreements retain their accepted terms.
The retired monthly plan included an initial 30-day free period after card save, followed by CAD $9.99 each month for unlimited requests at one named home. It is closed to new signups. Existing subscribers keep their accepted terms: no extra-request fees, request packs, or optional add-ons; any applicable tax shown separately on each bill; cancellation before the accepted free period ends to avoid the first charge; and no cancellation charge or loss of already-paid access. No work guarantee
We cannot promise how soon a service provider will be ready. We also cannot promise the price, date, permit, insurance coverage, or work result. City Works connects customers with independent service providers. Provider availability is not guaranteed.
Safety
You and the service provider must check all permits, trade rules, insurance, and safe work needs. City Works is not for an emergency.
Responsibility
The service provider is in charge of the job. This includes staff, tools, cars, tax, permits, insurance, the job site, clean-up, harm, and claims. A City Works check is not a promise of good work.
