  • The customer confirms the amount or has five days to flag a problem.
  • We send a first bill on the 7th. You can ask for a fix through the 12th.

Know before you respond.

Is the provider's work already paid?

No. The customer paid City Works for the connection service. You set and collect your own job price under your terms.

Do I send City Works a quote?

No. Show interest in the request. If City Works connects you, set the final price and terms directly with the customer.

Reply by email or SMS.

Can I decline an opportunity?

Yes. Respond only to work you want, can schedule, and are qualified to perform.

Does the fastest provider always win?

No. City Works looks for a suitable, qualified and available provider for the request.

Can the customer request someone else?

The customer can ask for a different provider if needed.

Does City Works manage my job?

No. Once introduced, you control the price, scope, timing, terms, work, and profit.

Which connections are free?

Your first 2 completed City Works connections have no City Works fee. New connections below $300 in final customer-authorized pre-tax work value stay free after that. At $300 and above, the applicable fee schedule applies. Existing awards keep their accepted fee policy.

When does City Works bill me?

We send the first bill on the 7th. You can ask for a fix through the 12th. We charge the saved card on the 15th.

Does City Works charge a percentage?

No. One flat fee is based on the final customer-approved pre-tax project value.

Does the amount owed change my billing date?

No. Every balance follows the same monthly schedule. We pause new connections only after a monthly payment fails.

What if the customer never responds?

If the customer does not respond and no work was authorized, there is no completed-work fee. If the customer authorized an inspection or partial work, the fee is based only on the final authorized pre-tax value.
